my favorite source for inspiration

I love Pinterest.  I can get lost in it for, ahem, longer than I intend, and it is a source for so much inspiration for me. So when I saw this post on Ucreate, I had one of the strongest whydidn’tIthinkofthat moments I’ve ever had.  While I often like the raw edges look, I didn’t love it here, so I decided to make my own version…

pin it pincushion
For my pincushion, I printed the template from the Ucreate tutorial, then traced it onto a piece of linen.  I satin stitched the words by hand (yep, it took a while), then made it into a simple pincushion. The finished size of this one was roughly 8″x5″, and I used a quilting cotton from my stash for the bottom.  Voilà!
